For her speech, Her Majesty, 95, wore a diamond and ruby butterfly brooch, which some royal watchers believed was a symbol of rebirth for the Queen, or a sweet tribute to theDuke of Edinburghseven months after hisdeath at age 99.
The 73-year-old brooch, known as the Onslow butterfly brooch, was a wedding present from 1947 and was gifted by the Dowager Countess of Onslow.

However, the place has clarified the Queen did not intend the butterfly to be any such symbol,Peoplereports.
Despite this, fans of the monarch believe the symbol of a butterfly holds a deep personal meaning to the royal family, as Prince Philip was a passionate advocate for conservation and wildlife.
The palace released an image of Prince Philip surrounded by butterflies upon his death in April on Instagram, and the same framed picture can be seen behind the Queen duringher video speech at COP26.
The Queens address was played for delegates during the COP26 climate summit on Monday after it was confirmed Her Majesty would not attend the reception due to health concerns.
During her speech, the Queen paid tribute to Prince Philip by honouring his passion for the environment.
This is a duty I am especially happy to discharge, as the impact of the environment on human progress was a subject close to the heart of my dear late husband, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, she said.
The monarch also recalled a speech the Duke of Edinburgh gave in 1969 about the critical issue of world pollution.

It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband played in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet, lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William, the Queen said.
She also urged world leaders attending the climate conference to achieve true statesmanship by creating a safer future for the planet, marking the Queens most significant statement on the environment to date.

The recorded address was the first time the Queen had been seen since doctors extended her health order to rest for a further two weeks, following her overnight hospitalisation on October 20.
In an announcement last week, the Queen said she regretfully decided not to attend the COP26 summit.
Prince Charles and Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are representing Her Majesty at the summit and were in the audience during the speech.
